Singularity Sprint

Theme: "Make Me Laugh"  |  Global Game Jam 2024  |  Victoria, BC  

Some context:

​

Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world's largest game creation event taking place around the globe where people collaborate to create games based on a different theme each year.

​

In January 2024, in 48 hours my team of four developed a game with little prior experience around the theme of "Make Me Laugh".

My role on the team was to design and animate all the 2D characters, objects, and backgrounds using Procreate along with Godot Engine.

​

The style for the characters was inspired by the popular game, Ultimate Chicken Horse. As such, I created the following characters:

The concept of the game is a single-player jumping game in Godot Engine, where players dodge objects to escape a black hole's pull. While the player is dodging objects, a stick man is throwing random objects such as a toaster, toilet paper, bananas, a bowling ball and more!
